2. What Data We Collect

Information you provide: Name, email address, phone number, moving addresses (origin and destination), move date, property details, inventory information, payment details (processed by our payment providers — we do not store card numbers), booking notes, and any communications sent through the Platform.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type and version, device type, screen resolution, operating system, timezone, language preference, pages visited, time spent on pages, clicks and interactions, referral source (how you found us), and connection type. This data is only collected if you accept cookies.

Information from third parties: Address data from Google Places API when you search for addresses, payment confirmation from Stripe/Revolut/GoCardless, and verification data for Mover profiles.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to: provide and operate the Platform; generate and display removal quotes; facilitate bookings between Customers and Movers; process payments and refunds; send transactional emails (booking confirmations, quote notifications); communicate about your account or bookings; improve the Platform through analytics; detect and prevent fraud; comply with legal obligations; and respond to support requests.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide our services (generating quotes, facilitating bookings, processing payments). Legitimate interests: Platform improvement, fraud prevention, analytics (where you have consented to cookies), and business communications. Consent: Marketing communications, cookie-based analytics and tracking. You can withdraw consent at any time. Legal obligation: Tax records, regulatory compliance, responding to lawful requests from authorities.

5. Data Sharing

We share your data with: Movers — when you request quotes or make a booking, your move details (addresses, date, property type, inventory, contact details) are shared with matched Movers so they can provide quotes and perform the service. Payment providers — Stripe, Revolut, and GoCardless process payments on our behalf. Email providers — Amazon SES delivers transactional emails. Hosting — Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts our infrastructure in the EU (Ireland). Analytics — we use our own first-party analytics system; no data is sent to Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics platforms. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to: remember your preferences and form progress; track page views and interactions (with your consent); maintain your session. We display a cookie consent banner on your first visit. If you decline cookies, we do not collect analytics data. Essential cookies (session management, security) are used without consent as they are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Specifically: account data is retained while your account is active and for 6 years after closure (for tax and legal purposes); booking records are retained for 6 years; analytics data is retained for 2 years; marketing consent records are retained for 3 years after last interaction. You can request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including: encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest; access controls and authentication; regular security updates; database backups; secure payment processing through PCI-compliant providers. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. International Transfers

Your data is primarily stored and processed within the UK and European Economic Area (AWS Ireland). Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA (e.g., to payment providers with US operations), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

10. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data. Erasure — request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements). Restriction — request we limit processing of your data. 11. Children's Data

The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

12. Third-Party Links
